Comfort in times like these

Well today I had to go to the eye surgery clinic, because my 10 month old granddaughter had to have eye surgery. You know when people find out that a loved one has to have some type of surgery, You can become over whelmed with fear. Then you stop and realize that you are not in this alone and that the Lord said he would never leave you not forsake you. I watched those people as they came and went, and some that were there waithing like us while there loved ones were having surgery, some sit quietly, some over whelmed with fear and some not knowing what to do at all. As we sit waiting my daughter was listening to her preaching sermons and study her bible and this thought came to my mind. You know how can these people who do not know the Lord cope with lifes difficulties and troubles. This is when we draw on the comfort of the Lord. The Lord says in psalms 23:1 The Lord is my shepard. The sheperd guides and protects his sheep at all cost. Reguardless of the circumstances or threat to himself. He counts no cost to high for the protection of his own. Reguardless of status or background he protects. Reguardless of deserving or underserving he protects. Deut 4:31 (for the Lord thy God is a merciful God) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee.... In Heb 13:5 Isn't it wonderful to know reguardless of what we are facing the Lord is right there with us, according to the word of God. Like we talked about in the beginning of this post, He (God) protects and is ther with us reguardless if we deserve it or not. Isn't it wonderful to know according to the word of God none of us deserve Gods goodness. The word of God says Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. See we dont meet up to Gods standard of holiness, we never can or could. Isn't it wonderful to know because we sin and miss the mark and will miss the mark. God still loves us so much that he made a plan. A plan that would make us accepted with him reguardless of who we are or what we have done. We understand that we will never meet up to Gods standard of holiness, but in his (Gods) plan he sent someone who could. His name is Jesus, Gods only son. In John 1:1 In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God and the word was God. In John 1:14 The word became flesh and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his (Jesus Christ) glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the father full of grace and truth. Isn't it wonderful to know Jesus came for one reason, and one reason only, it was to put us back in sweet fellowship with God. To pay a debt we would not pay. Romans 6:23 says For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Isn't it wonderful to know because of Jesus Christ and his blood that was shed at calvary, we are able to enter into heaven because of what Jesus Christ has done, for you and for me. Rev 1:5 in the last part of the verse it says, To him that loves us and washed us from our sins in his own blood. Isn't it wounderful to know Christ paid the debt, and now we stand before God with a clean slate. We can enter in because of Christ. Psalms 46:1 God is our refuge and strenght a very present help in trouble. Through sickness, surgeries, and lifes difficulties even unto death. Isn't it wonderful to know reguardless of circumctances the Lord is ther. He will be your strenght in your time of need. Lean on the Lord for he cares for you. May the Lord bless and keep you all.
